What’s
the reason for the Fellowship?
Welcome to the 133 site
Thanks for visiting this site, we hope you find it helpful. We want you to understand
what the 133 Fellowship is, what it’s not, who it’s for and what it can do for
you. We hope to be updating it from time to time.
What’s the Reason for the Fellowship?
Jesus
Christ is alive. He’s not a theory or a distant historical figure but someone
who is alive and doing incredible things in people’s lives today. Christian men
need to hear what He is doing and become expectant that He will do the same
things in their lives. We need to take heed to the Saviour’s words and take
them seriously as commandments that will produce the very results He promised.
He calls us to a radical and costly discipleship but promises us His presence
and rewards in heaven. Many Christian men have a hunger for more of God but
don’t know too many other men who feel the same. The purpose of the Fellowship
is to put brother in touch with brother, burning coal in touch with burning
coal, and build a spiritual fire in the land for the glory of the One who gave
His all for us. He is coming again, we need to ready, we
need to encourage one another.
It’s a monthly
Fellowship
For men
That meets for a few hours on a Saturday
morning
Not a separate Church
There are no fees, commitments or affiliations, we don’t ask for money, there’s no offering
It’s not American
You can come and go as you please
It’s about hearing good speakers and being
encouraged
It’s about meeting other men and hearing their
stories
It has the possibility of growing from one
small Fellowship in Pontefract to a network in
Yorkshire
In
the Bible, in Psalm 133, God promises that where Christian people meet together
in harmony, He will send His blessing. We take this as literal fact and it has
been our experience to enjoy God’s presence when we do this in honour of Him.
- That the bible is the inspired
word of God to man and our rule for life, faith and conduct
- In
the virgin birth of Jesus
- That
Jesus was sinless, fully man, fully God
- That Jesus is Lord
- In His miracles, life and
teaching
- In the Trinity
- That
Jesus died for our sins and rose again bodily
- That
He ascended into heaven where He rules in authority
- That
He is coming again
- That
He has sent the forth the gift of the Holy Spirit, the third person of the
Trinity
- That all men must be born again
- That the Gifts of the Holy
Spirit are in full operation today
- That no part of our lives fails
to be of interest to God and His love for us
If
you click on the link on the left you can get the story
It’s
aimed at men of any age and from any background who want to grow in their
faith, be strengthened by meeting likeminded men and hearing great stories of
what God is doing in these days.

similar time for ladies.

5th June 2002: We have had a
great deal of encouragement of late that the Lord wants us to focus on the

sought to put it into practice.
